1. Burns Night in London

This week, on Tuesday 25 January, many Scots and other Brits will be celebrating Burns Night. The date was the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns, and is used to commemorate his life and his great works of poetry. These celebrations are most common in Scotland and Northern Ireland, but you’ll find some shindigs in London too! There are several venues serving up a Burns supper, with plenty of Scotch whiskey and traditional haggis on the...

  2. Your Last Taste of Winter

London has been feeling much less festive since the turn of the New Year. It doesn’t help that the sky is grey and the rain has chased away the last of the snow. However, until Sunday 23rd January, you still have a chance to have some winter fun before spring breaks through. If you take a taxi to the Strand, you’ll see that Somerset House has a magnificent ice rink within its eighteenth century courtyard....

  3. Good Old Fashioned Fun

When was the last time you had some good old fashioned fun in London? We’re so overwhelmed with new technology, new trends, new fashion and new cocktails; it’s easy to forget how great it can be to do something traditional on a night out, like going to the theatre. If you think it’s not your kind of thing, think again; there is such a huge variety of shows in the West End, you’re spoilt for...

  4. Gone for a While...

We’re really proud of the Tick Tock Taxi online booking system. There’s nobody quite like us on the market; our website is easy to use and easy on the eye, our prices are competitive and our standards are high. However, like all new companies, we’ve encountered a few hurdles along the way and to be the very best, we still need to make some improvements. We could easily carry on as we are, bringing our customers a good service. But that’s not enough for us: we want to be number 1!

  6. The Social Network

With Halloween creeping up on us this weekend, you’ll find that the cinemas packed full of horror movie lovers; many are opting for the gore fest Saw 3D, or the spine chilling Paranormal Activity 2. I don’t know about you, but I’m a scaredy cat: I hate horror films! It’s frightening enough walking down a dark street at night, without filling my head with stellar nightmare material.
