London Games Festival

This month, gamers throughout the UK have something to get excited about: it’s the London Games Festival. Various venues across the city are hosting events for both consumers and industry insiders who have a passion for computer games. And it’s not only the techies who can get involved - there’s even a day for good old fashioned board games!

With some major London venues such as Earls Court and the Excel Centre participating, you know that no bars will be held on this popular festival. Running until 4 November, there will be plenty of events to take part in. Brand new games from some of the biggest names in the industry will be revealed, and budding gamers will have the chance to test out their skills. You might even get the opportunity to challenge the reigning champion, stealing their crown!

As you’ll see at any one of the events, gaming is not just for teenage boys; men and women of all ages share the passion (though teenage boys still make up the majority). If you’re too young to drive yourself there, book an Earls Court taxi to take you to the next event. Details can be found on the London Games Festival website, with information about speakers and experts who will be teaching us a thing or two.

Taxis in Earls Court are used to big events like this, so they’ll know exactly where to take you. Time to warm up your thumbs and get gaming!
