Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve read the ‘Scott Pilgrim’ comic books or not; this film is a fun, exciting watch for teens and adults alike. Starring Juno’s geeky Michael Cera, ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World’ tells the story of a young man who must defeat a girl’s seven evil ex boyfriends in order to earn the right to date her. It’s colourful (especially Ramona’s hair!), energetic, funny and sweet - something for everyone.

Set in a small Canadian town, Scott leads a simple life. He’s an unemployed bass player in a mediocre band, rehearsing in a friend’s garage in the hope of reaching stardom . You will feel sympathetic towards his cute girlfriend ‘Knives’ who is sidelined to make way for the too-cool-for-school Ramona Flowers; through no fault of her own, Ramona is irresistible to men. Throughout the film, we get a glimpse into Scott’s mind, which is heavily influenced by computer games.

Things to look out for in the film are the dance machine scenes, the straight talking gay house mate, and the vegan ex boyfriend. You’ll also spot several celebrity cameos throughout the movie.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World is now showing at cinemas across the city; book a taxi in London to make your way there. We can give you a great rate on London cabs, so get a quote for your journey on our website. It’s the easiest way to find a taxi!

The film has an English director - the very same Edgar Wright who bought us ‘Spaced’, the 90s TV series. His style is instantly recognisable, even with the addition of a Hollywood budget.
