Fabric Club
For those of you who like hardcore clubbing, there’s one place in London that should not be missed. You can’t call yourself a real clubber until you’ve experienced Fabric! Voted the ‘best club in the world’ by top DJs, it’s still going strong after more than a decade. The venue is inside an old Victorian Meat Market, creating a stunning interior of bare brick walls and wide stairwells. It’s a bit of a maze, but each room you stumble into has its own magic.
Because the music is blasted from the speakers so loud, you can get free ear plugs from behind the bar. This is recommended, otherwise you might be followed around by a mysterious ringing in your ears for the next week... Other hazards are taking your drink onto the dance floor; by 11pm, you’ll be packed in shoulder to shoulder. Drinks are served in plastic, but 5 minutes in the crowd and it will only be one of two places - on the floor, or all over the shirt of the bloke in front of you. Luckily, everyone’s in such high spirits that they probably won’t hold a grudge!
At Fabric, you’ll find a mix of house, techno, dance, drum and bass, dub-step and much more from live DJs at the weekends. You can see the popularity from the queues that reach down the road and round the corner! It’s based in Farringdon; why not book a taxi cab to take you there? As you know, we strongly promote safe driving, so if you’re planning to have a drink (which are reasonably priced, considering the venue), take a private hire taxi , home instead of getting behind the wheel. You’ll be there until after the tubes stop running so London cabs are the best option.
