Tick Tock 2012!
Now that all the excitement has died down, we’d like to wish you a very happy new year for 2012. By now you’re probably back to the daily grind, counting down the days until your Easter break! We can’t blame you. The weather is grey, cold and windy - typical for a British January. However, don’t despair; there’s plenty to look forward to this year!
As if you didn’t already know, London was awarded the great privilege of hosting the Olympic Games; thousands of people will pour in from around the world to witness the finest sports people competing for those coveted gold medals. Although many were left disappointed, tickets have been allocated across the nation giving us mere commoners the chance to see the events live. You can bet your bottom dollar that East London minicabs will be kept busy throughout the summer season, with tourism expected to go through the roof. If you’re planning any journeys, it might be wise to book a cab in advance.
The doomsayers would have you believe that the world is going to end this year, but the Tick Tock Taxi team are far to chipper to go along with that. We’re only just getting started! Many have mistranslated the prophecy from the Mayan calendar, which in fact predicts a physical or spiritual transformation on the Winter Solstice. It’s still a while off yet, so we’ll have to wait and see.
