Is The World Ending Again?

I know what you’re thinking. It’s not even 2012 yet, and as far as I know there haven’t been any prophecies about fire and brimstone this weekend. However, those cheeky scamps over at Flames & Fortune like to predict their own apocalypse every now and again, just to keep us on our toes! Rather than being a morbid and terrifying affair, 'End of the World' is actually a crazy club night put on to celebrate life and to dance like it’s your last night on earth.

I’ve been to a few of these events before and never failed to have an amazing time. As far as dress code is concerned, anything goes; you can wear tin foil or a tuxedo, or just roll around in glitter and glue. Whatever makes you happy! It’s a chance to express yourself, not having to conform to the standard London club’s ‘no t-shirts, no trainers’ rules. This one will be held at Scala, so make sure you book a Kings Cross taxi to get you and your deely-boppers home safely; the party finishes at 3am, so no tubes will be running at this time.

In the past, the organisers have come up with scenarios such as alien invasions or an asteroid on course to collide with the earth, however there doesn’t seem to be a particular reason for the world ending on this occasion; fans are familiar with the routine, and we’re happy to accept the fact that something fatal is pending. That’s enough to get us out of our seats and onto the dance floor, grooving to tunes that everyone has previously asked for (our last requests). With other ventures such as Underground Rebel Bingo causing a storm across the UK, these guys must be doing something right. Their message is simple: Dance till you die.
