The Twilight Saga has become an international phenomenon. Since the series of books by Stephanie Meyer hit the shelves, everyone from teenage girls to middle aged men has jumped on board and become engrossed in this fictional fairytale. The story follows Bella, a teenage girl who moves to the small town on Forks to live with her single father. Here she meets Edward, a ‘vegetarian’ vampire; they fall “irrevocably” in love with each other, but struggle with his blood lust and super strength.

Of the four books from the Twilight Saga, 3 have so far been released, with plans to split the final book into 2 films. ‘Eclipse’, the third installment, hit cinemas across the UK this weekend and broke 2010 records for the most takings on opening night - £13.75 million. Criticised by many for being melodramatic and dull, each of the Twilight films have still managed great success from building an army of loyal fans commonly known as ‘Twi-hards’. The girls tend to split into two groups - ‘Team Edward’ or ‘Team Jacob’. Jacob is the werewolf who is also vying for Bella’s affections; in this latest installment she is forced to choose between the two young men.

Now that the initial craze is over, you might actually be able to get a cinema seat without queuing for hours! Why not make a night of it and book a London cab to get yourself there? A night at the movies is perfect for any day of the week, whether you’re with friends, family or your partner. Many of London’s cinemas now have an online booking service so you can secure your seats in advance; you could do this at the same time as you book a taxi online.

If you haven’t read the books, it’s a good idea to have watched the first two films before you see this one - ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ are both out on DVD. One of the strong points of all 3 films are the soundtracks, with a mix of well known rock bands and some lesser known music trying to break the big time. The saga has come to far now to be ignored - if you want to know what all the hype is about, you’ll have to go and see it yourself! You’ll find that everyone’s talking about it - on television and in magazines, on the bus and around the water cooler. Vampire’s are all the rage...
