Taxis in St James’s Park - Book a Cab Online
Known as one of the most beautiful spaces in London, St James’s Park is a great place to visit on a sunny day. Located in Westminster, is the oldest of the city’s Royal Parks and is also home to St James’s Palace, with Buckingham Palace to the West. It’s nested amongst a chain comprising of Green Park, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, which makes it part of one of the largest green spaces in London. It’s no wonder that St James’s Park taxis are so popular during the summer months.
One of the recognisable features here is the lake, which contains two small islands. One of them is called ‘Duck Island’, so it will come as no surprise to you that this is where the wildfowl congregate! It’s even home to a colony of pelicans that have lived there since 1664; they were originally a gift from a Russian Ambassador. Families often like to come here and feed the ducks, or to watch the pelicans have their daily feeding of fish at 2.30pm. There’s also a cafe nearby that sells treats the kids will love, such as ice cream and pancakes. That should keep them quiet for a while! Features like this make the park a very popular area for families.
Due to the Royal connections, tourists are often attracted to the area; they take SW1 minicabs to St James’s Park to get a feel for the monarch. It’s here that you’ll see the Changing of the Guard and huge, majestic processions along The Mall to mark special occasions for England. You’ll often find the road lined with Union Jack flags to indicate state visits, which gives a great view of patriotism leading up to the Queen’s primary residence.
St James’s Park taxis in SW1 are one of the most popular ways to travel, but you’ll also find a tube station here that goes by the same name. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to visit in the local area, creating the lively atmosphere that you’d expect from a city centre location. If you are visiting London and would like to stay here, there are many hotels and accommodation options, but prices here are not cheap. Make sure you research the approximate costs before you visit to allow yourself to budget properly. Luckily you won’t break the bank when you book one of our St James’s Park minicabs; the rates will always be affordable where we’re concerned!
For a true taste of traditional British culture, St James’s Park is the perfect place to visit. While you’re there, why not go for afternoon tea or a roast dinner to complete the experience? You’re sure to love the London way of life here.
